1. Information We May Collect About You

We may collect and use the following information about you:

  •          Information you provide to us by entering details on www.stjudeshrine.co.uk
  •          Information you provide when you enter a competition or take up an offer supported by Shrine Office.
  •          if you contact us other than through our website, or when you report a problem to us, we may keep a record of that communication.
  •          Details of transactions you carry out through our site and information related to fulfilment of your orders.
  •          Details of your visits to our site, including, traffic data, access to download data, location data, weblogs and other communication data.

2. Storage and Transmission of Your Data

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your information is treated securely.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

The transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure. We will do our best to protect your information but we cannot guarantee security of transmissions to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use security procedures and features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

All payments for products sold on this site will be made through the site of one of our payment processing companies (PayPal). Further information on these payment processing companies and the way that they will use your information is at Section 6 of this page.

3. How Your Information May Be Used

  •          To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts between you and us, such as providing you with items that you have ordered from us.
  •          To provide you by telephone, post or e-mail with information on products or services that we feel may interest you, where you have agreed or (if appropriate) not objected to being contacted in this way.
  •          To manage our competitions, offers and surveys.
  •          To notify you about changes to our service, or where we need to contact you for administrative or operational reasons.

We will keep your information for as long as we consider necessary to deliver our services to you. If you wish us to stop using your information, you will need to contact us at developmentmanager@stjudeshrine.org.uk and we will cancel your registration.

In addition to using your information in the ways outlined above, we will not use or disclose your information to other.

5. IP Addresses & Cookies on our site

We may use automated systems to collect information about your computer, including its IP address, operating system and browser type. This is statistical data that will not identify you individually. We will use this information to help us run and improve www.stjudeshrine.co.uk

6. Security on the Site

We take information security very seriously. For this reason we use advanced internet security systems to safeguard your information.

All the data that you send through to us when submitting an order is encrypted before it is transmitted across the Internet. This means that in the unlikely event of the data being intercepted, it would be difficult to decipher.

To protect your payment details, the payment checkout services we use are run directly through the sites of the payment processing companies. You will automatically be transferred to such a site when making an order (PayPal). We do not control these sites – information on how they protect your information will be available from their own privacy policies.

Please do not send credit/debit card details directly to us by e-mail, as this may not be secure. Instead, please use the site to place an order. In the unlikely event of unauthorised card use please be sure to contact your card issuer immediately as per your arrangement with them.

7. How to Access the Information We Hold About You

You have the right to access the personal information that we hold about you. To obtain a copy of this information, please write to us at Carmelite Friars, PO Box 289, FAVERSHAM, Kent, ME13 3BZ enclosing your postal details. We may ask you to provide identification to us before we release the information to you.
